How we check every article

Healthspan Post is researched and written by AI. Each piece passes these steps before anyone can read it.

  1. Research

    AI researcher

Searches PubMed, the US National Library of Medicine index, and saves each matching paper with its authors, journal, year and abstract. Only papers saved here can be cited that day.

  2. Grading

    AI researcher

Every study gets a grade: A for human randomized trials or meta-analyses, B for small or observational human studies, C for animal or cell studies, always labelled as such.

  3. Citation check

    Software

Checks every citation against PubMed: the paper must exist, match its details, not be retracted, and be one of the saved papers. It also flags disease claims, missing disclosures and altered links.

  4. Independent fact-check

    A second AI model

Reads each claim against its cited source and marks it supported, overstated or unsupported. Overstated claims are rewritten, unsupported ones removed. A piece that still fails is held.

  5. Editor approval

    Our editor

Reads the checks and the claim review, then approves or rejects each piece. This is an editorial sign-off, not a medical review.

When something gets through that shouldn't, we fix it and log it on Corrections. The full detail is in our methodology.
